A little bit of history
Tom and Georges met while both were touring with their bands
‘Pipeline’ and ‘Hatchet’ way back in 1983. In the same year they decided to
form 'Chapter Two'. In 1993 the two attended a
gig of 'Jbl-Band' and spotted a superb vocalist who happened to be the young
Joecee Wohl. After some touring with 'Chapter Two', 'Jbl' and 'Taxfree',
the three formed the band 'JOE CEE'. Funky Marc Reichling signed up for
the bassline on three of the songs during the recording sessions at
Waltzing-Parke-Audio Studios, Luxembourg, for their debut
album released in june of 2005. The songs were recorded,
mixed and mastered by Christoph Simon. Gast Waltzing plays trumpets on
'Chessmen', courtesy of Warner Music & WEA International.

A
trio shows its claws The
band JOE CEE is a pop formation installed in
Luxembourg and exists since April 2004. Basically made up of 3 members who took
part since the Eighties in a number of the most known bands of the country,
they joined together their musical energy to give rise to one of the rare
groups of pop music which exist at the present time in the Grand-Duchy. Who
says trio tells indeed more – the singer Josée “Joecee” GOEDERT-WOHL like Tom
BELLION, guitarist, and Georges ZEPP, keyboarder, use all the means and
surround themselves with the musicians they may need to satisfy the requirements of
a band that wants to play on the small ones as on the large stages. The
originality of JOE CEE lives from the tension which occurs between the singer’s
extraordinary voice with a most prestigious sonority and the rhythmic
homogeneous block of the guitars, keyboards and drums. Without passing in
popular, ‘pop’ remains the central element of the band, an element that is
however cultivated on the highest level when it melts with funk, soul or even
jazzy sounds without losing of its identity. Thus making it possible for JOE CEE
to touch a large audience that finds the music that it knows all while
familiarizing itself with a new blend of sound. Even those who were never
attracted by pop music appreciate the originality and the virtuosity of the
performance. Faithful to themselves, the 3 musicians did not lose anything of
their integrity and their vehemence which characterized each one of them during
his/her musical career.
