What is backline! asbl ?

Founded in 1996 by a number of persons sharing common rock music interest, backline! is a non profit association promoting the national rock music.

The main objectives are:

• promote luxembourgish rock and pop music and in general promote the related different music styles in Luxembourg
• develop and sustain solidarity and collaboration between musicians
• encourage and support musicians in their activities
• initiate and maintain national and international contacts with similar associations and organizations, bands and musicians.

Projects - Services - Activities

• Our Support Fund allowing us to give financial support to band projects
• Our Special backline! Prize dedicated to young promising bands
• We promote a concert event called Tremplin-backline! where we give local bands the opportunity to play gigs under professional conditions and in well known venues for free
• A CD sampler 'Made in Luxembourg'
• Our Rockbrunch where our local musicians can meet and jam together
• Our website www.backline.lu with our Resource Center, Bands Area, CD Archive and more...
• Organization of workshops of all kinds (instrumental but also like an informal meeting about copyrights for example) information journeys (fairs, instruments and CD-factories and more...)
